On Friday morning, an Iraqi refugee used an improvised explosive device (IED) to bomb a Social Security office in Casa Grande AZ — the mainstream media remains silent.

The explosion took place before the office opened for the morning, so no one was hurt. But reports indicate the explosion “was heard and felt all over the area.”

The suspect in the bombing, Abdullatif Aldosary is an Iraqi refugee who lives in Coolidge, AZ. He is in police custody.

For reasons unreported, Aldosary had raised the Department of Homeland Security’s attention a number of times throughout the last two years, and he served 8 months in prison for harassment at some point.

On Friday night, both CNN and Reuters reported the bombing, but neither identified Aldosary or mentioned his Iraqi roots. It seems Aldosary is getting the same benefits the MSM gave Major Nidal Hasan, Abdulhakim Mujahid Muhammad, and innumerable other individuals with Middle Eastern names when they committed terrorist acts in our country.

(CNSNews.com) – On Sept. 11, 2012, just two hours after the State Department first began notifying government agencies back in Washington–including the White House–that the U.S. Consulate in Benghazi was under attack by armed men, State sent out an email that went to at least two people in the White House that said the group Ansar al-Sharia had claimed responsibility for the attack.

The email, which was sent from a State Department address at 6:05 PM on Sept. 11, 2012, was obtained by CBS News and posted online by the news agency in a PDF file. This email and others posted by CBS News had certain elements redacted–particularly the exact identities of the person who sent it and the persons who received it.

The email sent at 6:05 P.M. on Sept. 11 was sent by a person using an @state.gov email address. The subject line said: “Ansar al-Sharia Claims Responsibility for Benghazi Attack (SBU)”

The body of the email said: “(SBU) Embassy Tripoli reports the group claimed responsibility on Facebook and Twiter and has called for an attack on Embassy Tripoli.”

Among the addresses of those who received are two that include that tag “@nss.eop.gov,” a White House email address. “EOP” stands for “Executive Office of the President. The names of the two recipients in the Executive Office of the President who received the email have been redacted.

The third and last email obtained by CBS News was sent by the State Department at 6:07 PM on 9/11/12–or just two hours and two minutes after the first email giving initial notification of the attack. This email went to a somewhat different group of recipients–but still included two persons in the Executive Office of the President and someone at the FBI.

The subject line on this email said: “Update 2: Ansar al-Sharia Claims Responsibility for Benghazi Attack (SBU).”

The text said: “(SBU) Embassy Tripoli reports the group claimed responsibility on Facebook and Twitter and has called for an attack on Embassy Tripoli.”

[T]his email made no mention of a YouTube video or a spontaneous demonstration in Benghazi.

Plot to attack Federal Reserve in NYC: Suspect thought he had 1,000-pound bomb, authorities say

NEW YORK – A suspected terrorist parked a van packed with what he thought was a 1,000-pound bomb next to the Federal Reserve building in Lower Manhattan and tried to detonate it Wednesday morning before he was arrested in a terror sting operation, authorities said.

The suspect, 21-year-old Quazi Mohammad Rezwanul Ahsan Nafis, is a Bangladeshi national who came to the U.S. on a student visa in January for the specific purpose of launching a terror attack here, authorities said. He allegedly told an undercover agent last month that he hoped the attack would disrupt the presidential election, saying “You know what, this election might even stop,” according to the criminal complaint against him.

“He clearly had the intent of creating mayhem here,” Police Commissioner Ray Kelly told reporters Wednesday, saying his actions went “way past aspirational.”

The complaint said Nafis wrote a statement claiming responsibility for what he thought would be the Fed attack, saying he wanted to “destroy America” by going after its economy. He referred to “our beloved Sheikh Osama bin Laden” in the statement, which was stored on a thumb drive.

Nafis, who lives in Jamaica, Queens, attended Southeast Missouri State University for a semester, studying cybersecurity as a sophomore from January through May 2012, a school spokesman said. He sought a transfer to a New York City ESL program and left Missouri after the spring, according to a law enforcement official.

He allegedly sought out al-Qaida contacts to help him, unknowingly recruiting an FBI source in the process. At that point, the FBI and NYPD began monitoring him as he developed the plot, prosecutors said.

Law enforcement officials stress that the plot was a sting operation monitored by the FBI, Homeland Security and NYPD and the public was never at risk. The materials he believed were explosives had been rendered inoperable, officials said.

(CBS/AP) SOFIA, Bulgaria – Bulgaria’s interior minister says a bombing that killed eight people and injured dozens on a bus full of Israeli tourists was most likely a suicide attack. He says the suspected attacker was carrying a driver’s license issued in Michigan, which had been sent to the FBI.

Interior Minister Tsvetan Tsvetanov said Thursday the suspect appeared on security camera tape near the bus for nearly an hour before the attack.

Tsvetanov said the death toll had risen to eight, as the Bulgarian driver of the bus died in the hospital. Six of the victims are Israeli citizens, while the nationality of the suicide bomber remains unknown.

Other reports said the ID found on the suspect’s remains was a U.S. passport issued in Michigan, which was determined to be a fake. That report could not be confirmed.

Faouzi Ayoub, 44, who lived in Dearborn, Michigan, allegedly used the name Frank Mariano Boschi in an effort to travel into Israel.

He was indicted in absentia by a Detroit federal court on August 5, 2009.

Ayoub’s current whereabouts are unclear.

So, I am wondering; is Faouzi Ayoub the suicide bomber?  If not, I think the Obama administration better start kicking down some doors in Dearbornistan!  (Yeah, right.  Like that will ever happen…)

AZ: Tucson Unified School District Accepts Grant Money From Islamic Group Associated with Terrorist Organizations

You may remember the elementary school in New York which is now requiring their students to learn Arabic.  Well, the Qatar Foundation International (QFI) is one of the groups financing that little endeavor.  In fact QFI even gloats about it all over the main page of their website: as this snapshot from earlier today shows:

In an article on the Muslim Brotherhood, Family Security Matters notes the following concerning the Qatar Foundation International (highlighting and underscoring are mine):

TUSD accepts grant from group with ties to Muslim Brotherhood (updated)

On May 5, the Qatar Foundation International (QFI), a group associated with the Muslim Brotherhood, announced the awardees of QFI’s Curriculum Grants, which include Tucson Unified School District, according to Tucson radio show host Garret Lewis on KNST AM 790/97.1 FM. QFI’s Curriculum Grants are awarded to schools to develop “innovative curricula and teaching materials to be used in any Arabic language classroom.”

The award will be used in TUSD’s Safford Magnet School. According to the district, “the purpose of this project is for the Arabic teachers with the help of an International Baccalaureate (IB) coordinator to develop, teach, and evaluate four IB Arabic units.”

The district’s grant was brought to the attention of Lewis by a concerned Tucsonan, Pat Sexton. “It is unacceptable to a majority of Tucson citizens that Safford K-8 Magnet School, whose school children are predominantly Hispanic, would agree to receive any funding from a group such as QFI,” said Sexton. “This is an Arabic/Islamist group that seeks to promote Sharia culture and has undeniable ties to two terrorist organizations whose mission is to destroy America, Western ideology and anyone who does not agree with their extremisms.”

QFI is a nonprofit group financed by the government of Qatar. The Washington D.C. based organization is the U.S. branch of the Qatar Foundation, which was founded in 1995 by Qatar’s ruling emir, Sheikha Hind bint Hamad Al Thani, according to various news reports. Thani is also the founder of Al Jazeera.

The Qatar foundation launched the Research Center for Islamic Legislation and Ethics in January. The Center’s director Tariq Ramadan. Ramadan is the grandson of the founder of the Muslim Brotherhood, who was banned from the U.S. until 2010 when the Obama administration issued him a visa to give a lecture at a New York school, according to various news reports cited by Lewis.

The Qatar Foundation has also named several institutions after a leader of the Muslim Brotherhood, Yusuf al-Qaradawi. Al-Qaradawi has proclaimed himself “Mufti of martyrdom operations.”

While Al-Qaradawi’s claims to promote moderation, “he has openly permitted the killing of American troops in Iraq and praised the “heroic deeds” from “Hamas, Jihad, Al-Aqsa Brigades, and others,” according to the Investigative Project on Terrorism (IPT).

The London newspaper Al-Sharq Al-Awsat, reported Israeli claims that Al-Qaradawi was funding “the heart of Hamas,” the Al-Islam Charity, through his Welfare Coalition. He has also pledged to fight the United States if it attacked Iran, stating: “When America threatened it [Iran], I said I am against America. Iran has the right to possess peaceful nuclear power, and if America fights it, we would stand up against it [America],” according to IPT. IPT also claims that “Al-Qaradawi is known for advocating the overthrow of Western capitalism.”

Al-Qaradawi is reported to have said, “We have our own economic philosophy and system which others do not have. The collapse of the capitalist system, which is based on usury and securities rather than commodities in markets, shows us that it is undergoing a crisis and that our integrated Islamic philosophy, if properly understood and applied, can replace Western capitalism.”

Yup.  The Backscatter machines are another useless waste of taxpayer money:

This video is here to demonstrate that the TSA’s insistence that the nude body scanner program is effective and necessary is nothing but a fraud, just like their claims that the program is safe (radiation what?) and non-invasive (nude pictures who?). The scanners are now effectively worthless, as anyone can beat them with virtually no effort. The TSA has been provided this video in advance of it being made public to give them an opportunity to turn off the scanners and revert to the metal detectors. I personally believe they now have no choice but to turn them off.

Please share this video with your family, friends, and most importantly, elected officials in federal government. Make sure they understand that your vote is contingent on them fixing the abuse that 200,000 passengers face from the TSA on a daily basis.

Authorities have arrested a man allegedly on his way to the U.S. Capitol for what he thought would be a suicide attack on one of the nation’s most symbolic landmarks, Fox News has learned exclusively.

The man, in his 30s and of Moroccan descent, was nabbed following a lengthy investigation by the FBI, initiated after he expressed interest in conducting an attack. It’s unclear how the FBI learned of his aspirations.

The man thought undercover FBI agents assisting him in his plot were associates of Al Qaeda.

When he was arrested Friday in Washington, he was carrying with him a vest supposedly packed with explosives, but the material inside was not actually dangerous, Fox News was told.

A short time earlier, he had been praying at a mosque in the Washington area. His destination was Capitol Hill.

The public was never in danger, as he had been under constant surveillance for some time.

An arrest usually indicates charges have been filed in some form, but it’s unclear when or how charges would have been filed in this case. It’s also unclear if the suspect will be appearing in court Friday. In similar past cases, suspects have made their initial court appearance within hours of their arrest.

Sites in Washington have long been a target for terrorists, especially self-radicalized extremists caught in FBI stings.

“Two suicide bombers who were attempting to target public interests and kill innocent people in the bazaar of Dilaram district died as their suicide vests exploded prematurely at 08:50 a.m. local time [yesterday] before reaching the target,” the press release added.

There were no casualties in the blast except the bombers, it stressed.

Three people have been killed and 75 people have been wounded after a man fired a machine gun and threw grenades outside a courthouse in Liege, Belgium. As of this writing, a two-year old girl is fighting for her life. The man, identified as Nordine Amrani, has also died. It was initially believed that Amrani acted with two other assailants but Belgian authorities say he acted on his own. Apparently, Amrani (who had a lengthy criminal record) had been en route to be questioned by police when he launched the attack.

Belgian authorities also deny it was a terrorist attack. However, yesterday a Belgian court in Mons sentenced four members of a family to prison sentences ranging from five to twenty-five years for the 2007 honor killing of Sadia Sheikh. She was killed after refusing to consent to an arranged marriage with a cousin in Pakistan and instead living with a Belgian man. It was the first time anyone in Belgium had been put on trial for committing an honor killing.

Given the timing of the attack and where it was carried out, this certainly cannot be discounted.
