JERUSALEM– Concern has been mounting over President Obama’s scheduled participation in the U.N.’s Alliance of Civilizations summit in Turkey next month, with some critics painting the organization as anti-Western and advocating Iranian interests.

“The Alliance might more appropriately be called a U.N.-approved Slush Fund for Advancing Iranian and Other Islamic Interests,” wrote Claudia Rosett, a Forbes contributor and journalist-in-residence with the Foundation for Defense of Democracies.

A separate report by the Heritage Foundation labeled the Alliance forum “well-intentioned” but with little prospect for success due to “bias and objectionable proposals to freedom of expression.” The report was titled “Why President Obama should not attend the Alliance of Civilizations forum.”

Obama is reportedly due at the Alliance April 7. The organization was formed in 2005 as an offshoot of the Dialogue of Civilizations, an earlier U.N. project founded by former Iranian President Mohammad Khatami, who is still a member of the Alliance.

Other Alliance member states or participating organizations include China; the Organization of the Islamic Conference; the Islamic Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization; the Arab League; Turkey; and the Arab League Educational, Cultural and Scientific Organization. Not on the list is Israel.

Hopefully, it’s clear to all that the three interdiction stops referred to in the ATF “Operation Southbound Steel” intelligence advisory information request were conducted by local law enforcement (specifically by the Pearl River and Jackson County Sheriff’s departments, and the Gulfport PD). So it’s not like the intrepid feds with their expanded Project Gunrunner budget are doing anything other than acting as a news aggregator here.

As one of my sources observed to me:

This is not the result of an ongoing federal investigation, it’s BATF piggybacking on local cops…what is not being seized in Miss., they aren’t seizing RPGs, grenades and Class III Military ARs and AKs. The point is that the military guns aren’t coming from here. They come from Venezuela, Colombia, Cuba, Israel, Brazil and China…

That the cartels are getting military grade weapons from non-U.S. sources is borne out by journalists doing their own investigation instead of relying on government agencies for their talking points:

BOSTON (AP) — Barack Obama’s Kenyan aunt lost her bid for asylum more than four years ago, and a judge ordered her deported. Instead, Zeituni Onyango stayed, living for years in public housing.

Now, in a case that puts the president in a tough position both personally and politically, Onyango’s request is being reconsidered under a little-used provision in U.S. immigration rules that allows denied asylum claims to be reheard if applicants can show that something has changed to make them eligible.

Such as the ascension of her nephew to the presidency of the world’s most powerful country.

“If she goes back to Kenya, she is going to be much more in the limelight, and that, in and of itself, could put her at a greater risk. The chances of her going back and keeping a low profile are gone at this point,” said Boston immigration attorney Ilana Greenstein.

Onyango, 56, the half-sister of Obama’s late father, moved to the United States in 2000. Her first bid for asylum was rejected, and an immigration judge ordered her deported in 2004; she continues to live in public housing in Boston.

In December, a judge agreed to suspend the deportation order and reopen her case. An initial hearing is scheduled Wednesday in U.S. Immigration Court in Boston.

Obama has said repeatedly that he didn’t know his aunt was living in the United States illegally and believes that laws covering the situation should be followed. If she wins asylum, he could look soft on immigration enforcement. If she loses, he could face criticism from immigrant advocacy groups.

The White House says Obama is staying out of it.

I know you think I lost my mind posting a story about muslim sexuality but this is bigger than the topic of the articles. This is a story of a muslim woman standing against culturally oppressive and backward thinking muslim men. I have pointed out for years now that if islam can change and enter this century it will be the women that force the change. The men of islam have enforced strict and violent control over muslim women since mohammed justified the abuse of females as his right. I sincerely hope the magazine flourishes if for no other reason than its success will force muslims to finally compare the modern world with the seventh century.

-I have pointed out a few times that muslim women are sexually active. Despite the often seen moral equivalency arguments and attempts to deny it, muslim women troll for men just like any other culture. Granted they do have to be careful. We have seen plenty of examples of young women murdered because muslim families refuse to step out of the past.

The December issue of Jasad, which sold for $10, includes articles on self-mutilation and cannibalism. The cover story of the March issue focuses on the penis.
-I cannot resist reminding the muslims that we have also pointed out numerous times that most of their sexual insecurity seems to be related to their sub sized male organs.

Other articles deal with battered men and women, transsexuals and the “Kama Sutra.” A regular feature is “My First Time,” in which a well-known figure talks about his or her first sexual encounter and subsequent sex life.
-Imagine the possibilities “my first time with an infidel” or “Ronin, my first real man.”

Robbery suspect dies after getting shot, run over

A man allegedly attempting to rob a northwest Harris County cell phone store died after he was shot by the business owner and then hit by a car as he attempted to flee, authorities said.

Deputies answered a call around 6:15 p.m. Saturday at a cell phone store in the 5200 block of Barker Cypress, where they learned that two armed men dressed in black allegedly attempted to rob it, said Sheriff’s Office spokesman Lt. John Legg.

The store owner produced his own handgun and the alleged robbers fled the business, Legg said.

As the men ran into the parking lot, the store owner chased them. One of the men fled the scene in a 90s model red Ford Taurus, while the other man stopped and turned toward the store owner, Legg said. “At that time, the owner of the store fired several shots towards the suspect, hitting him once,” Legg said.

However, the alleged robber continued to run through the parking lot and attempted to run across Barker Cypress, where he was hit by a car. The man, whose identity has not been released, collapsed and died, Legg said.

No charges have been filed against the store owner and Legg said the case will likely be referred to a grand jury.

Deputies are searching for the second suspect who fled. Anyone with information is urged to call the Sheriff’s Office at 713-221-6000 or Crime Stoppers at 713-222-TIPS.

GM, Chrysler rocked by Obama autos team hard line

WASHINGTON/PARIS – The Obama administration seized the wheel of the failing U.S. auto industry on Monday, forcing out General Motors Corp’s CEO, pushing Chrysler LLC toward a merger and threatening bankruptcy for both.

GM shares plunged around 20 percent in Frankfurt after steps outlined by the White House autos panel marked a stunning reversal for management at both GM and private equity-owned Chrysler.

The moves came after Europe’s second-biggest carmaker by sales PSA Peugeot Citroen ousted CEO Christian Streiff, replacing him with former Corus head Philippe Varin from June 1.

The Obama administration pledged only to fund GM’s operations for the next 60 days while it develops a sweeping restructuring plan, instead of granting GM’s request for up to a further $16 billion in loans.

GM CEO Rick Wagoner, who had presided over the company’s rapid decline in the past five years and had run the automaker since 2000, was forced out at the request of the autos panel headed by former investment banker Steve Rattner. A majority of GM’s board will also be replaced.

“We are left to look back and say that Wagoner’s appointment as both chairman and CEO in 2003 was little more than an act to ensure the dynasty of GM boardroom arrogance and failure continued,” said Howard Wheeldon, senior strategist at brokerage BGC Partners.

Wheeldon said Wagoner’s departure had been all but inevitable since the automaker sought government funds and said he was disappointed the authorities had not insisted on an external replacement.

Islamophobia Does Not Exist

I’ve been considering a request from a post-graduate student who wants to do a thesis on Islamophobia in Australia. She writes: “I am researching the topic Islamophobia, and I am trying to prove whether Islamophobia is based on religion fear or cultural fear of Islam.”

What about proving that Islamophobia exists at all? That would be the logical, ethical and scholarly starting point. But it appears the outcome has already been decided. This would fit the prevailing orthodoxy in academia that the default position for Muslims in Australia is victim. The jargon, “Islamophobia” is part of this ideological construct. Literally, it means fear of Muslims.

I reflected on all this while on holiday in Malaysia and the Maldives last week. This was my twelfth visit to Muslim societies because I do not “fear” Muslims and do not “fear” Islam. Yes, there is ample evidence that Australians have become uneasy about Muslims in general and hostile in specific cases, but this is about cause and effect.

Consider the series of blows to the image of Muslims in just the past three weeks, where the everyday decency of the majority have been collaterally damaged by the antics of the few.

On March 8, the night of the Sydney Gay and Lesbian Mardi Gras, police say a group of about 100 young Muslim men, allegedly members of a loose gang called MBM – Muslim Brotherhood Movement – moved through the centre of the city intimidating, harassing and beating bystanders.

On March 15, Abdul Darwiche was murdered, shot to death in a shopping centre in the latest hyper-violence involving two warring Lebanese Muslim clans. Police later arrested Darwiche’s brother, Michael, for driving around with a loaded pistol. A third brother, Adnan, appeared in the NSW Supreme Court three years ago to be sentenced for a double murder. He and his fellow accused, Nasaem El-Zeyat and Ramzi Aouad, laughed and joked, going out of their way to express their contempt for Australian law. After the three men were all given life sentences they shouted “God is great!” This was the same Adnan Darwiche who purchased rocket launchers stolen from the Australian Army, which have never been recovered.

An interesting read from Breitbart in the Washington Times.  I read this last night but was on my way to bed and didn’t post it at that time.  This morning, I noticed that the title had been changed to “Online Activists on the Right, Unite.”

Curious…  Perhaps someone at the Washington Times didn’t like the reference to Saul Alinsky’s “Rules for Radicals.”  Be that as it may, I have included the original title:

A digital war has broken out, and the conservative movement is losing. Read the comment sections of right-leaning blogs, news sites and social forums, and the evidence is there in ugly abundance. Internet hooligans are spewing their talking points to thwart the dissent of the newly-out-of-power.

We must not let that go unanswered.

Uninvited Democratic activists are on a mission to demoralize the enemy – us. They want to ensure that President Obama is not subject to the same coordinated, facts-be-damned, multimedia takedown they employed over eight long years to destroy the presidency – and the humanity – of George W. Bush.

Political leftists play for keeps. They are willing to lie, perform deceptive acts in a coordinated fashion and do so in a wicked way – all in the pursuit of victory. Moral relativism is alive and well in the land of Hope and Change and its Web-savvy youth brigade expresses its “idealism” in a most cynical fashion.

The ends justify the means for them – now more than ever.

Much of Mr. Obama’s vaunted online strategy involved utilizing “Internet trolls” to invade enemy lines under false names and trying to derail discussion. In the real world, that’s called “vandalism.” But in a political movement that embraces “graffiti” as avant-garde art , that’s business as usual. It relishes the ability to destroy other people’s property in pursuit of electoral victory.

Hugh Hewitt’s popular site shut off its comments section because of the success of these obnoxious invaders. Breitbart.com polices nonpartisan newswire stories for such obviously coordinated attacks. Other right-leaning sites such as Instapundit and National Review Online refuse to allow comments, knowing better than to flirt with the online activist left.
